United States Ambassador to Hungary Colleen Bell has voiced her support for the Hungarian national team at the 2016 UEFA European Championship in a video uploaded yesterday to the embassy’s Facebook page. The footage of Ms. Bell clad in Hungarian colours was recorded at the statue of the late world-famous Hungarian footballer Ferenc Puskás in Budapest’s District III.

I had a brilliant weekend. I did the Lake Balaton Cross Swim. That’s a 5.2 km swim across the biggest freshwater lake in Central Europe. It was so rewarding and so much fun. On 13 August Chargé d’Affairs Theresa Bubbear co-opened the Olympic exhibition of the Hungarian Jewish Museum. In the year of the London Olympic Games, the exhibition honours the achievements of both known and less known former Hungarian Jewish Olympic champions. In her speech Mrs Bubbear congratulated for the achievements of the former champions, the relatives of many took part in the opening.
